Veg South Florida
There's never been a better time to eat vegetarian or vegan in south Florida. The many restaurants listed here make it easy to find healthy, delicious and animal-free meals from Key West to Palm Beach and cities in between. With the choices we make at each meal, we can help stop cruelty to chickens, pigs, cows, fish and other animals raised for food.

Restaurant of the Month
Dozens of locations in South Florida
We wouldn't normally choose a "fast food" restaurant as Restaurant of the Month, but the news that the world's largest restaurant chain is offering vegan sandwiches is significant. SUBWAY is testing vegan subs in a few markets, including South Florida. The "Black Bean" patty (a blend of black beans, brown rice, corn, bell peppers, cilantro and garlic) is topped with a vegan sweet potato curry sauce. The "Malibu Garden" patty (brown rice, rolled oats, and vegetables) comes with a roasted tomato sauce. As always, you can add all the veggies you like. The Hearty Italian, Italian and Sourdough breads are vegan. If the vegan subs are not available at your local SUBWAY, ask that they offer them!
